At present, there are no vacancies within the group.
Student Internships
Students pursuing their undergraduate /postgraduate (in any subject) are welcome to apply for internships (1-3 months), provided they indicate and demonstrate a strong passion for education. Students can undertake their own projects or assist on-going projects at the D&T lab. Acceptance into the internship programme at HBCSE is partly determined by availability of accommodation at the centre. So do write to us in advance by March/April.
Internships slots are usually available in May-June and October-November.
What is expected in the internship application ?
Send your updated resume, portfolio (if applicable), and a Statement of Purpose (SOP). The SOP should tell us why you are keen to join the Design and Technology Education group for your internship, and how it aligns with your future goals. Please note that we work exclusively in the space of education. You are also required to share any project ideas that you wish to undertake during the internship. Lastly, mention the preferred dates of internship and whether accommodation is required during this period.

Short term Visitors
Students and teachers can apply for a short term visitor positions. You can undertake your own project or assist in the on-going projects of the D&T programme. Applications for Short term visitors are accepted all year round.

Post-doctoral Fellows and Senior Visiting fellows
Applications are welcome from competent and committed natural and social scientists, teachers and communicators holding a PhD degree and are looking to contribute in areas relating (and not limited) to: Design and Technology Education, Science Technology and Society studies, Socio cultural issues in education, Gender and science, Curricula and Material development, Teacher Professional Development etc. Applications are accepted all year round.
